G 20

G-20 is an organization which was created to promote dialogue between developed and emerging-market countries. The organization is a forum to discuss and promote global economic stability and global economic development

The G-20 was formed after the financial crisis of the 1997.

19 countries and the EU are the members of the G-20. The countries are

Argentina
Australia
Brazil
Canada
China
France
Germany
India
Indonesia
Italy
Japan
Mexico
Russia
Saudi Arabia
South Africa
South Korea
Turkey
United Kingdom
United States of America
European Union

The finance minister and head of the country’s central bank are members of the G-20

Also the following participate in the G 20 meetings on an ex-officio basis:

  • Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF)
  • President of the World Bank (WB)
  • Chairs of the International Monetary and Financial Committee and Development Committee of the IMF and World Bank.
